What is Access Control?

Access Control is an electronic method of gaining entry through a secure door / gate / barrier. Access is controlled using a proximity key fob or card, security code or remote key fob.

The system comprises of a user device (e.g. proximity reader, keypad, wireless key fob), a control unit, an electronic lock and an associated exit device.
